REVETTED STORAGE SHEDS
MINGALADON, BURMA
Large dump laid cut in typical military pattern, consisting of numerous square shaped pits and rectangular storage sheds protected by earth blast walls. Most of the pits are empty; one) however(encircled), contains some supplies. This is probably a fuel and ammunition dump. Lack of camouflage, except for dazzle paint on the roofs of the sheds, and the connecting network of the roads make this dump easy to detect. This dump services the airfield located just off the photos to the right.

TARAWA
Three small storage sheds protected by earth blast shelters. The two uncamouflaged sheds measure 40'x30'; the one with 'spot' paint camouflage on the roof measures 60'x30'. Explosive or inflammable stores were probably housed in these structures.

MILL
As is shown here, it is quite typical to find one or more small revetted ammunition storage sheds near A.A. or C.D. batteries. This 2-gun, 127mm dual-purpose battery has two small (1Cix151) re-vetted sheds and one larger (40'x20') revetted shed for storage of ammunition. Ready magazines are also located in the revetment walls of such batteries.
