LOOSE STORES VUNAPOPE Loose stores (some canvas-covered) on palm grove beach. This is a typical Japanese beach dump. The types of supplies present are (1) boxes of canned foods or small arms ammunition (2) sacks of rice (3) fuel drums (4) machinery parts (5) crated bombs. The canvas covered piles are indeterminate as to type. Note the trucks. The sunken ship is the Keifuku Maru. This dump, though merely a distributing point, remained in somewhat the saME condition for many months. RABAUL. Canvas covered stores on docks.-- These canvas-covered supplies are placed on parallel rows of lumber to keep them dry. The type of material present is indeterminate. The circular tanks in lower center are small oil storage units. 38
