REVETTED STORAGE BUILDINGS
NABIRE
(1) Jap constructed camp showing several types of buildings. The small 50'x25' buildings are barracks. (Note the latrines adjacent to these). The 80'x30' building, between the two road intersections, has an earth revetment completely around it. This is a warehouse supplying this camp area.

Note its location adjacent to the road. The revetted small, 35' x 25' building near the stream is probably a power plant. The two larger buildings, 100'x35' near the upper edge of the clearing are barracks. An airfield is located off the photograph to the right.

(2) A larger scale view of the photo to the left. Note the track activity on road adjacent to the Storage unit.

(3) Revetted building, 100'x35', isolated in wooded area adjacent to airfield. This is probably a storage unit for explosive or inflammable material. A similar unit of smaller dimensions, 50'x30', is located near the bottom of the stereo.

(4) Larger scale view of storage unit shown to the left. Note vegetative growth over the revetment.
