FIGURE 9-6 TYPICAL ARRANGEMENT OF PORTABLE ACID CLEANING
TANK AND CONNECTIONS TO DISTILLING PLANT

Notes: The portable acid tank is about 25 to 35 gallon capacity.

The connection from the brine tank to the acid tank is a portable hose with union at each end. It is used to return the acid solution from the brine tank to the acid tank to be used over again.

The connection from the acid tank to the feed piping is also a portable hose with union fittings.

The strainers shown are sometimes replaced by a strainer inside of the acid tank.
