1. Ordnance Pamphlet 1329 (First Revision) describes and illustrates the construction and operation of the 40-mm Mount Mk 4 All Mods equipped with Power Drives Mark 9. It also includes instructions for the maintenance and care of mount and power drives.

2. This publication contains information pertinent only to 40-mm Mounts Mk 4 and Mods and should not be used for other 40-mm quadruple mounts.

3. This publication supersedes Ordnance Pamphlet 1329 (Preliminary), which should be destroyed. Reference should be made to Ordnance Pamphlet 820 for information on the 40-mm Gun Mechanism; Ordnance Pamphlets 867 and 867A for Gun Ballistic Data; Ordnance Pamphlet 762 for Mount Alignment methods; and Ordnance Pamphlet 1233 for information on the Gun Fire Control System Mk 63.
