Small Deck Prism

During the age of sail, prisms were placed flush in the deck to funnel sunlight into the lower deck. After all, lanterns and open-flames would be fire hazards. Safe, below-deck lighting is no longer a problem for us, but as decorative objects, paperweights, or conversation pieces, these deck prisms are reminders of another era.
